Shilpa Shetty Stuns With Intense Core Drill At 50, Says ‘Strength Without Control Is Incomplete’
Actress Shilpa Shetty continues to redefine fitness goals at 50. Known for her disciplined routine and healthy lifestyle, the actress recently shared a glimpse of her challenging workout session, where she was seen performing the supine contralateral stability drill.
Calling it a test of control and coordination, Shilpa emphasised that strength alone is not enough. In her caption, she wrote that the drill challenges core stability, inner thigh engagement and neuromuscular coordination while maintaining pelvic control. She described it as a small block with a big demand on control.
The supine contralateral stability drill involves lying on the back with one leg bent at a 90-degree angle and the other extended, holding a foam roller between the lower legs. The movement requires slow, controlled leg drops to each side while keeping the trunk stable. The exercise is designed to strengthen the core, improve balance and enhance body awareness.
Yoga remains an integral part of Shilpa’s fitness journey. In another recent post, the ‘Dhadkan’ actress was seen performing variations of Vyaghrasana. She listed its benefits, including improved balance, stronger lower back and glutes, enhanced coordination and better hip mobility. However, she also advised followers to avoid the pose if they are experiencing back or knee issues.
On the professional front, Shilpa will next be seen in KD: The Devil, directed by Prem. The film stars Dhruva Sarja in the lead and also features Sanjay Dutt, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Jisshu Sengupta and Nora Fatehi in key roles.
At 50, Shilpa Shetty proves that age is no barrier when discipline meets dedication.
