India’s rising cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to dominate age-group cricket with extraordinary consistency. The 14-year-old left-handed batter produced another record-shattering knock in the U19 Asia Cup 2025 match against the UAE at the ICC Cricket Academy, scoring a sensational 171 off 95 balls. His innings featured nine boundaries and 14 sixes, leaving the UAE bowlers struggling for answers as he batted at a strike rate of 180.
During the innings, Suryavanshi set a new world record for the most sixes in a Youth ODI, surpassing Australia’s Michael Hill, who hit 12 sixes in 2008. The Bihar-born youngster, who also plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, became the first player in Youth ODI history to cross 50 career sixes in the format.
His century arrived in just 56 balls, powering India to a massive 433/6 in their 50 overs. Contributions from Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra, both scoring 69, further strengthened India’s dominance.
