Iran undecided on next round of US talks, flags ‘contradictory actions’ by Washington
Tehran, April 20: Iran has said it is yet to decide whether it will participate in the next round of negotiations with the United States, citing what it described as “contradictory actions” and a lack of trust in Washington’s approach.
Speaking at a press briefing, Esmaeil Baqaei stated that no decision has been taken so far regarding future talks. He indicated that Tehran is reassessing its position amid recent developments.
Baqaei criticised the US for what he called inconsistencies between its diplomatic messaging and actions on the ground. He said that since the start of the ceasefire, Iran has faced repeated complaints and what it perceives as bad faith from Washington.
