Dhanush Unveils ‘Manithan Deivamagalam’ Teaser Starring Selvaraghavan
Actor-director Dhanush has unveiled the teaser of the upcoming Tamil film Manithan Deivamagalam, directed by Dennis Manjunath and headlined by his brother, filmmaker-actor Selvaraghavan.
Sharing the teaser on social media on the occasion of Selvaraghavan’s birthday, Dhanush extended his wishes and support to the project.
“Happy Birthday my brother and mentor @selvaraghavan sir. Glad to unveil the #ManithanDeivamagalam teaser. Wishing the team all the very best,” the actor wrote while sharing the video link online.
The 70-second teaser offers a glimpse into the film’s narrative through striking visuals and an emotional voiceover conversation involving a young girl, a teacher, and Selvaraghavan’s character.
The teaser introduces several key characters and sets the tone for a story that appears rooted in themes of faith, destiny and transformation.
The film is written and directed by Dennis Manjunath and produced by Vijaya Sathish and RS Sathish under the banner of Vyom Entertainments.
Apart from Selvaraghavan, the film features an ensemble cast including Kushee Ravi, Kousalya, Mime Gopi, YG Mahendra, and several others.
The teaser’s atmosphere is strengthened by the background score composed by AK Prriyan, while cinematographer Ravi Varma K’s visuals and editor Deepak S’s crisp cuts enhance its cinematic impact.
Industry observers say the teaser reflects a dramatic narrative style, hinting at a story blending village life with spiritual themes.
What’s the Story About?
According to sources close to the production team, the film’s story unfolds in a serene village surrounded by nature and harmony.
However, a devastating tragedy disrupts the village’s peace, pulling the protagonist into a crisis that challenges both his beliefs and responsibilities.
In the process of trying to save his people, the protagonist’s actions eventually transform him into a revered figure — inspiring the film’s title, which loosely translates to “Man Becoming God.”
Producer Vijaya Sathish earlier said the film would explore themes of faith, sacrifice and the spiritual connection between a land and its people.
The makers are currently completing post-production work, and sources indicate that the official theatrical release date is expected to be announced soon.
With the teaser receiving attention from fans of both Selvaraghavan and Dhanush, anticipation around the project has already begun building within the Tamil film industry.
