Modi, Macron Hold Bilateral Talks in Mumbai; Strategic Partnership, Innovation in Focus
Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron held bilateral talks at Mumbai’s Lok Bhavan on Tuesday, focusing on strengthening the India-France Strategic Partnership and expanding cooperation in emerging sectors.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other senior officials were present during the discussions.
Strategic Partnership Under Review
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the talks include a comprehensive review of progress under the India-France Strategic Partnership. Later in the day, both leaders will jointly inaugurate the ‘India-France Year of Innovation 2026’. They are also scheduled to address business leaders, start-up founders, researchers and innovators from both countries.
President Macron’s visit comes at the invitation of PM Modi to participate in the AI Impact Summit hosted by India. The visit underscores growing collaboration in technology and artificial intelligence.
Tribute to 26/11 Victims
