Ishaan Khatter Praises Shahid Kapoor’s ‘O’ Romeo’ Performance, Calls Him A “Giant Actor And Star”
Shahid Kapoor’s latest release O’ Romeo continues to draw admiration, and this time, the applause is coming from someone closest to him. Proud brother Ishaan Khatter took to social media to pen a heartfelt appreciation post after watching the film, calling Shahid’s performance powerful and unforgettable.
Sharing his thoughts, Ishaan wrote that Shahid perfectly embodies his golden principle as an actor — “to burn inside, with an outer ease.” He praised Shahid’s portrayal of Ustaraa in Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial, describing it as a performance that balances graphic-novel hero intensity with believable realism. According to Ishaan, bringing such a layered character to life requires a “GIANT actor and star.”
He further highlighted the magic of the Vishal Bhardwaj–Shahid Kapoor collaboration, calling it undisputed and urging audiences to watch O’ Romeo in theatres for what he described as a “rock concert experience” and a total cinematic dhamaka.
Earlier, Mira Rajput also celebrated her husband’s performance with an emotional Instagram note. Calling him “destiny’s child,” she applauded Shahid’s relentless spirit, expressive eyes and immense talent, saying it was time for him to shine.
Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, O’ Romeo is reportedly inspired by Hussain Zaidi’s novel Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The film stars Triptii Dimri alongside Shahid Kapoor and features Randeep Hooda, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal and Tamannaah Bhatia in key roles.
The film marks the fourth collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj after Kaminey, Haider and Rangoon.
