Dulquer Salmaan’s #DQ41 Adds Jagapathi Babu to Cast, Makers Confirm on His Birthday
The makers of Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming romantic entertainer, tentatively titled #DQ41, have officially confirmed that veteran actor Jagapathi Babu has joined the project. The announcement was made by SLV Cinemas on Wednesday while wishing the actor on his birthday.
Directed by Ravi Nelakuditi, the film is described as a contemporary love story with emotional depth. With Jagapathi Babu coming onboard, the narrative is expected to gain additional gravitas. Known for his powerful screen presence across Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema, his inclusion significantly strengthens the ensemble.
The project, which went on floors in August last year, was launched with a grand pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. Actor Nani gave the clap for the muhurat shot, while directors Srikanth Odela and Buchi Babu graced the event.
Apart from Dulquer Salmaan and Jagapathi Babu, the film features Pooja Hegde, Ramya Krishnan and Deekshith Shetty in key roles. The music is composed by two-time National Award winner GV Prakash Kumar. Cinematography is handled by Anay Goswamy, while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao oversees editing.
Touted as a pan-India film, #DQ41 will release in five languages, aiming to reach audiences across regions. With Dulquer headlining and Jagapathi Babu now part of the cast, the film is steadily building anticipation among fans.
