Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali, the Dewan to the Prince of Arcot, was honoured as a keynote speaker at the prestigious 19th International Human Rights Summit 2025, held on July 24 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Speaking at the summit, Nawabzada Asif Ali highlighted the powerful role of education and dialogue in fostering peace, mutual respect, and harmony among communities. He emphasized that a culture of understanding begins with open communication and access to inclusive learning.
The summit, hosted by United for Human Rights and its youth wing, Youth for Human Rights International, was founded by Mary Shuttleworth, who also serves as its president. This year’s theme, ‘Education for Peace’, brought together an inspiring gathering of Nobel Peace Laureates, diplomats, youth leaders, educators, and human rights advocates representing over 70 nations.
Nawabzada’s invitation to the summit was endorsed by the Sustainable Development Council (SDC) in India. The SDC is led by founder-president Datchanamoorthy Ramu and secretary general M. Gokulnath, who have both commended Mr. Asif Ali for his unwavering dedication to peacebuilding, interfaith dialogue, and uplifting marginalized communities across India and beyond.
