The 16th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman-Nidhi (PM-KISAN) plan, worth ₹21,000 crore, was given out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to over 9 crore farmers in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The money was sent to the recipient's bank account through DBT.
In his speech, PM Modi told the crowd that his government's four main goals will help India become a successful country by 2047. "To make India a developed country by 2047, we have set four main goals." In order to reach our goal of taking the country to its expected heights, we will focus on getting the poor, farmers, young people, and women more power. There are many ways that farmers can get help with watering these days, while poor people get concrete roofs over their heads. "In the village, women are getting help with their income, and public infrastructure is being built to meet the needs of young people," he said.
₹3,800 crore has also been sent separately to the bank accounts of farmers in Maharashtra, he said.
"As part of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, over 3 lakh crore has been put into the bank accounts of 11 crore farmers across the country." From the ₹30,000 crore that the farmers got, ₹900 crore was sent directly to their bank accounts in Yavatmal, he said.
