IndiGo Flight Disruptions Continue for Second Day, Nearly 40 Kochi Services Affected
Flight disruptions at IndiGo Airlines continued for the second straight day, with nearly 40 domestic services to and from Kochi airport delayed or cancelled on Thursday. The ongoing operational issues have caused major inconvenience to passengers as the airline struggles to stabilise schedules nationwide.
Cochin International Airport issued a travel advisory urging passengers to check updated flight information with their respective airlines. The advisory noted that certain domestic carriers were facing operational constraints and that coordination was underway to support affected travellers. Airport sources said it may take time before normal operations are fully restored.
A Kochi-based travel agent reported that IndiGo’s website had become slow, making it difficult for passengers to access booking or rescheduling services. The situation follows widespread cancellations on Wednesday, when IndiGo grounded at least 200 flights and delayed several more by up to 12 hours due to pilot scheduling issues and crew shortages in Mumbai.
The cascading disruption has pushed domestic airfares sharply higher, adding pressure on travellers across major routes.
Our Final Thoughts
The continued disruptions underline the scale of operational challenges IndiGo is facing. With delays piling up and fares rising, passengers nationwide are hoping for swift resolution as the airline works to restore stable service.
