Ranveer Singh Applauds Arjun Rampal’s Fierce Transformation in ‘Dhurandhar’: People Are Now Realising His Range
Bollywood star Ranveer Singh opened up about his admiration for Arjun Rampal’s dedication and depth as an actor during the trailer launch of their upcoming spy-action thriller ‘Dhurandhar’, held in Mumbai on Tuesday. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, promises one of the biggest action spectacles of 2025.
Ranveer’s Tribute to Arjun Rampal
Speaking at the event, Ranveer praised Arjun’s chilling portrayal of a Pakistan-based terror operative who worships dictator Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq.
“Arjun sir is known to be the most good-looking man on earth. But now people are realising his depth and range as an actor,” Ranveer said. “This look and presentation, I don’t know how Aditya managed it… The female crew members used to be head over heels despite his terrifying look.”
Ranveer also recalled Arjun’s professionalism on set:
“There were times when he tripped during shoots but got up instantly, dusted himself, and continued. Thank you sir for uplifting me with your kind words… and being a part of this film.”
About the Film
The film features a star-studded antagonist lineup with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna, each portraying ruthless terror operatives driven by violent anti-India ideology. Ranveer plays an undercover intelligence agent who infiltrates the network under the guidance of R. Madhavan’s character, a high-ranking handler in the Indian intelligence system.
The trailer positions Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna as standout performers, with their menacing screen presence becoming the talk of the launch.
A Big-Screen Spy Saga
Directed by Aditya Dhar, best known for “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” Dhurandhar is being touted as a large-scale espionage thriller rooted in shadow warfare, covert missions, and psychological combat.
Earlier, the teaser offered a glimpse into the morally grey space of intelligence operations, framed around “men who operate in the shadows.”
The project has already generated massive industry buzz, with many predicting that it could redefine the on-screen spy genre for mainstream Hindi cinema.
Dhurandhar is shaping up to be the year’s most ambitious Hindi action film, and the combination of Ranveer Singh’s intensity, Arjun Rampal’s reinvention, and Aditya Dhar’s cinematic scale makes it a potential box-office powerhouse. If early reactions are any indication, the film may also mark a defining moment in Arjun Rampal’s career, cementing him as one of Bollywood’s most compelling antagonists.
