Beijing, China – October 24, 2025: The India A men’s and women’s hockey teams concluded their respective international exposure tours in China, leaving with encouraging results and valuable experience against competitive local opposition.
India A Men’s Team: Dominant Display Against Gansu
The men’s team played a four-match series against Gansu Club in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, from October 12 to 18, securing convincing victories in all fixtures.
The series opened with a commanding 7-0 win, with goals from Varun Kumar and Selvam Karthi via penalty corners, Uttam Singh and Venkatesh Dhananjay Kenche scoring field goals, and Angad Bir Singh shining with a hat-trick.
The second match ended 2-1 in India A’s favour, courtesy of goals from Selvam Karthi and Aditya Arjun Lalage. The third encounter was a dominant 8-0 win, featuring goals from Poovanna Chandura Boby, Aditya Arjun Lalage, Maninder Singh, Selvam Karthi, Venkatesh Dhananjay Kenche, captain Sanjay, and Mohammed Raheel Mouseen, who scored a brace.

The opening match ended 1-1, with Albela Rani Toppo scoring for India A. The second match saw a 1-3 loss, despite a goal from Manisha Chauhan. The team bounced back with a 1-1 draw in the third match (Manisha Chauhan on the scoresheet) and a 2-2 draw in the fourth, with goals from Baljeet Kaur and Manisha Chauhan.
