Bike-Borne Miscreants Snatch Phones in Two Separate Incidents in Bengaluru
Bengaluru – Two separate incidents of mobile phone snatching were reported in the city on Saturday, with bike-borne miscreants targeting private firm employees in V.V. Puram and Mahadevapura police station limits.
In the first case, Adarsha, a private company employee, was walking home near Kamath Hotel when two unidentified men on a motorcycle confronted him. According to the complaint, they threatened him and forcibly snatched his mobile phone before fleeing the scene. The V.V. Puram police have registered a case and are currently investigating.
In a similar incident the same day, two men on a bike allegedly snatched the mobile phone of another private firm employee near Seetharamapalya as he was returning home. The Mahadevapura police have taken up the case and launched a probe to identify the suspects.
Both cases appear to follow a similar modus operandi, raising concerns about rising street crimes and bike-borne snatching gangs operating in the city.
