Mumbai, July 10: Actress Anupama Solanki, known for her versatile performances in Indian television, is back on the small screen with a compelling new role in the ongoing series Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah. Solanki plays Sudha, a strong-willed and fiery character who returns to India after living in Dubai, bringing a fresh twist to the show’s storyline.
Speaking about her character, Anupama shared, “This is the first time I am playing a positive yet dabang character. Most of the time, I’ve portrayed either purely positive or entirely negative roles. Sudha is different—she’s strict, commanding, and doesn’t shy away from confrontation.”

The current track teases the death of Kalikant, which will further deepen the mystery and drama. “Shashikant is the opposite—humble, grounded, and calm, which helps him manage Sudha. But with Kalikant’s exit, the dynamics between Sudha and Shashikant will shift. I am sure audiences will love this upcoming twist,” Anupama added.

“I am very choosy when it comes to selecting my TV projects. Sometimes, it is risky, but I wait for roles that push me out of my comfort zone. It takes time to materialise, but I am patient,” said Anupama.

“Each role is different from the last. In Jagriti, I am a powerful woman who does everything on her own terms — Danke Ki Chot Pe. I don't believe in being silly or seeking approval,” she declared.

“It's always tough to enter an established show. The audience already has their favourites, and you need to make your mark fast. But I’m confident. The storyline has taken a turn, and my character will definitely grab attention. I’m excited for my fans to see me in this completely new avatar,” she said.
