Amidst rituals and sacred chants, PM Modi climbed the stairs to the garbha griha, where the pran-pratistha ceremony unfolded. Notably, he had observed an 11-day fast, sustaining on a diet of fruits and coconut water, while sleeping on the floor in preparation for this momentous occasion.
As part of his religious sojourn, PM Modi traveled to South Indian states, visiting prominent temples such as Panchavati in Maharashtra, Veerabhadra temple in Andhra Pradesh, Sree Ramaswami Temple in Kerala, and others. His spiritual journey involved practicing yogic yama-niyama and chanting hymns.
During the pran pratistha ceremony at 12:30 pm, a significant time known as Abhijeet muhurat, PM Modi held a lotus in his hand. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present at the garbha griha, adding to the sanctity of the occasion.
The entire ceremony was marked by symbolic gestures, including PM Modi walking inside the temple premises with a silver 'chattar' on a red folded dupatta. The air resonated with 'Jai Sri Ram' chants as Indian Air Force choppers showered flower petals over the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple during the unveiling of the idol of Ram Lalla.
In a tweet, PM Modi expressed his emotions, stating, "The divine moment of Pran Prathishta of Shri Ram Lala in Ayodhya Dham is an emotional moment for everyone. It is my good fortune to be part of this unique program. Jai Siyaram."
With over 8,000 guests invited to witness the grand temple ceremony, the nation celebrated this historic occasion with reverence and enthusiasm.
