Errol Musk Visits Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Calls India a “Wonderful Place”
Lucknow | June 4, 2025 – In a high-profile visit that blended spiritual reverence with green energy advocacy, Errol Musk, father of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, paid a visit to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Wednesday. Musk, a South Africa-based businessman and Global Advisor to Servotech Power Systems Ltd, took darshan of Ram Lalla and later offered prayers at the revered Hanumangarhi temple.
This marks a rare visit by a foreign dignitary of such stature to the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, especially during the ongoing consecration celebrations of Lord Ram's Darbar in the newly-constructed grand temple.
Welcomed as State Guest, Joined by Daughter Alexandra and Vivek Bindra
Errol Musk arrived in Ayodhya on June 4 via a private jet at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, having flown in from Delhi. The Uttar Pradesh government extended state guest status to him.
Musk was accompanied by:
- Alexandra Musk, his daughter
- Dr. Vivek Bindra, a well-known motivational speaker
- A 16-member entourage including Raman Bhatia, MD of Servotech
He was dressed in traditional Indian attire—kurta-pyjama with a saffron scarf—and headed directly to the Ram Temple, where he spent over an hour offering puja and parikrama.
Spiritual Sojourn: Ram Lalla and Hanuman Darshan
Following his visit to the Ram Mandir, Musk proceeded to Hanumangarhi temple, a site believed to be the earthly abode of Lord Hanuman.
There, Mahant Sanjay Das, national president of Sankat Mochan Seva and successor to Mahant Gyan Das, briefed Musk on the spiritual significance of the temple. He explained:
"On the orders of Lord Ram, Hanuman resides here in person and continues to protect and bless devotees."
Although scheduled to spend just 15 minutes, Musk remained for 40 minutes, engaging in puja rituals and spiritual conversation with the Mahant.
“India is a Wonderful Place” – Musk’s Message to the World
Interacting briefly with the media, Errol Musk praised India, saying:
“India is a wonderful place. As many people as possible should come to India.”
His comments sparked widespread appreciation on social media, particularly from fans of Elon Musk and Indian devotees impressed by the elder Musk's respectful demeanor and cultural engagement.
Three-Layer Security and High-Tech Monitoring
Given the significance of the visit and the ongoing temple celebrations, Ayodhya Police implemented a three-tier security cordon. Key measures included:
- Drone surveillance
- CCTV coverage along the route
- Strategic police checkpoints near the Ramjanmabhoomi complex
The district administration and temple trust authorities coordinated to ensure a smooth and secure visit.
Business Focus: Green Tech and EV Infrastructure
While Errol Musk’s Ayodhya stop was deeply spiritual, it was also part of a broader business mission. Musk is currently in India on a trip focused on:
- Expanding green technology adoption
- Accelerating India’s EV charging infrastructure
His association with Servotech Power Systems Ltd, a Haryana-based renewable energy firm, underscores India’s growing relevance in the global clean energy transition.
Servotech is known for:
- Solar power innovations
- EV charging stations
- Battery storage technologies
The visit aims to forge stronger India–global business ties in the sustainability and electric mobility sectors.
Musk’s India Visit: A Family Affair
This is the second time in recent months that a member of the Musk family has been in India. In April 2025, Maye Musk, Errol’s ex-wife and Elon Musk’s mother, visited Mumbai to attend an event at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC).
The growing presence of the Musk family in India may be seen as a symbolic nod to India’s expanding role in global technology, culture, and spirituality.
What's Next?
Errol Musk is expected to stay in India until June 6, holding meetings with various renewable energy stakeholders. His Ayodhya visit may mark the beginning of deeper cultural and business engagement between India and the Musk family, especially amid expectations of Tesla’s future entry into the Indian EV market.
