Miss World 2025: Thailand’s Opal Suchata Crowned in Dazzling Finale in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, May 31 — In a glittering finale of grace, strength, and symbolism, Thailand’s Opal Suchata was crowned Miss World 2025 at the 72nd edition of the prestigious global beauty pageant, held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana.
She received the crown from reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic, who passed on the legacy before an audience of dignitaries, global celebrities, and enthusiastic fans.
A Historic Moment in Hyderabad
This marks a significant milestone for India, as it hosted the Miss World grand finale after 28 years, the last one being held in Bengaluru in 1996. The event was attended by top names from Bollywood, the fashion world, and international media.
India’s own Sini Shetty, who represented the country at Miss World 2025, made it to the Top 12 but could not advance further.
Who is Opal Suchata?
Opal Suchata, 23, is a psychology graduate and social advocate from Bangkok. Her campaign, "Opal For HER," focuses on women’s mental health and empowerment. She is known for her humanitarian work and has collaborated with organizations supporting domestic abuse survivors and access to mental health resources in underserved communities.
Speaking after her crowning moment, Opal said:
“This crown is not just mine — it belongs to every woman who chooses courage over fear, compassion over judgment, and resilience over doubt.”
The Symbolic Gown: Opal for HER
Opal walked the final ramp in a gown that was as meaningful as it was mesmerizing. Crafted in shimmering white and embedded with opalescent floral patterns and Swarovski crystals, her gown was designed to symbolize healing, strength, and transformation.
She shared on Instagram:
“The soft flare of my gown mirrors the ripple effect of compassion — how one heart can awaken many. Just like the opal, I shine in my own light.”
