“India is Strong, We Will Face the Enemy”: Shivakumar
Speaking to the media, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who also serves as Karnataka Congress President, emphasized that the Tiranga Yatra was a way to condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam and extend moral support to Indian soldiers deployed in Operation Sindoor.
“We want to send a big message to the nation through this Tiranga Yatra. The whole world is watching India. Everyone should stand united at this moment. We are giving moral courage to our soldiers,” said Shivakumar.
He added that the yatra was inclusive of all communities and aimed to salute the bravery of the Indian armed forces.
“I am very happy that all sections of society, including retired soldiers, students, and even members of other political parties, have joined us. We must stand together for the nation’s pride,” he stated.
March for National Unity and Patriotism
Participants of the march carried Indian flags and banners supporting the armed forces, with messages like “Salute to Our Soldiers” and “India Will Not Bow to Terror”.
The Congress party said the goal of the march was to emphasize national integrity, solidarity against terrorism, and support for security forces.
The yatra resonated strongly in the backdrop of India’s tough military action in response to the brutal Pahalgam attack, underlining that Karnataka stands united with the nation.
Operation Sindoor: India’s Bold Response
The yatra also symbolically reinforced support for Operation Sindoor, the Indian military campaign launched following the deadly terror strike. Although details of the operation remain classified, sources indicate that counter-terror offensives are being carried out in high-risk zones of Jammu and Kashmir.
Karnataka's Message to the Nation: Unity Against Terror
The Karnataka Congress reiterated its commitment to upholding India’s sovereignty and vowed to stand by the armed forces.
“Irrespective of Pakistan’s misadventures, India is strong. We will face the enemy,” said D.K. Shivakumar.
