The chief priest, Acharya Satyendra Das, likened the scene to the mythical 'Treta Yug,' when Lord Ram resided in Ayodhya. "So much crowd has gathered here today that not everyone will be able to have darshan today, and the same crowd will be visible tomorrow and for the next few days," he remarked.
Highlighting the fervor among the devotees, Acharya Satyendra Das drew parallels with the joyous times of Treta Yug when Lord Ram returned. "A glimpse of the Treta Yug is visible today. So many Bhakts have come to Ayodhya now, and Jai Shree Ram chants are echoing here; it seems that we have gone back to Ayodhya during the Treta Yug times," he shared.
Explaining the reason behind the massive turnout, the chief priest mentioned, "4,000 saints have come. Every priest from across the country has brought along 2-4 people with them. This has led to an extensive crowd."
Amidst the excitement, Acharya Satyendra Das emphasized the divine atmosphere, stating, "Ayodhya is Rammay. It is divine and beautiful. The decorated Mandir is worth seeing. It is worth seeing how people are excited to see Lord Ram."
The rituals at the Ram temple commenced with the aarti at 6:30 am, and the chief priest hinted at potential adjustments to the system in the coming days. "Darshan is going on from 6:30 am. Both the new idol, whose pran pratishtha was done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the smaller idols are being worshipped. Devotees are having 'darshan,'" he added.
The overwhelming crowds started gathering since Monday night, with both locals and visitors eager for an early entry to the temple premises. The consecration ceremony, led by Prime Minister Modi, marked a historic event, with lakhs of people across the nation tuning in to witness the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony.
As the doors of the Ram temple opened to the public, the fervor among devotees and the reminiscent aura of Treta Yug have made this event a significant moment in Ayodhya's history.
